The Relevant Authorities are concerned with the sustainable use of the Humber. The scheme will not stop people using the Humber and most activities will not be affected by this management scheme. There is no intention to exclude human activities, such as recreation. New management measures will only be introduced if current activities are likely to damage the wildlife; this may for instance involve dialogue between the Management Group, local authorities, Natural England, and the clubs, organisations or individuals undertaking the activity. The aim will be to prevent damage occurring through voluntary measures, such as codes of practice and increasing awareness.
